I’m an exhibits writer and editor at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

In the past, I’ve been a senior staff writer at George Washington University, where I wrote stories for GWToday and contributed to other GW publications. I was also a staff writer and editor at the Association of American Colleges and Universities, an assistant editor and writer at Teacher Magazine, an editor at the online commentary site TomPaine.com, and copy editor of an academic journal, Journalism and Mass Communication Educator.

I’m always open to freelance writing and editing assignments. I’m primarily interested in writing about museums, science, education (both K-12 and higher ed), and related topics.

In my free time, I enjoy running, playing outdoors with my husband and two sons, thrifting, and reading.
